Brash, raw, confronting, contesting, Tough Titties is a rave revue railing against the prevailing patriarchy with a tongue firmly between the cheeks, chomping on myriad bits,  biting off more than you can choose.

At its core, Tough Titties has an ensemble of six actors, Monica Kumar, Laura Lees, Sophie Douglas, Emma Throssell, Sophea Op and Sam Walsh, performing a series of sketches and skits, some scatter gun, others more precise in their sniping, all hitting their targets, most scoring a bull’s eye.

From competitive and combative woeful wokeism to crass commercialism, consumerism and soulless capitalism, Tough Titties takes on the “you can’t ask that, you can’t say that” taboos with unfiltered mirth.

Accompanying these sequences are a number of solo performances that include rap poetry, stand up comedy, performance art and juggling. Featured artists include Kamilaroi sister-girl,  Constance Halstead, Persian Pakisatani poet princess, Almitra Mavalvala, and the magnificently mustachioed quick with the lip, Frankie Fearce.

Co-Creators Renae Valastro and Kristelle Zibara have fashioned a show that is fierce and fearless, a prickling and pricking challenge to the patriarchy and the one percent of the planet that plot the course for the rest of us, scoring a dead-eye dick on bullshit.

Tough Titties skewers stereotypes and the status quo with sharp satire, parody and outright absurdity with belly laugh gusto, exploring social & political issues encompassing gender, race, harassment, misogyny, male condescension and queer culture.

This is the fourth incarnation of this fun, femme and fantastic show, and in its present guise delivers a nimble, nifty and thoroughly entertaining ninety minutes where variety is not just the spice of life but the splice of life as well.

Tough Titties is partnered with and presented by Queen Hades

A gifted embroider of words, Friel combines soft lyricism and hard meaning in his play, a tragical comical historical pastoral on a spree and spoiling for a spirited spar.

Iolanthe and Janet Anderson work in cosmic, comedic accord, characterisation charismatic, timing impeccable, delivery precise, together a tour de force that ascends the cliché.
